Time is an essential parameter in a number of air pollution monitoring applications. Accuracy of timing and time measurement is of paramount importance in air pollution samplers where the measurements are dependent on sampled volume which in turn is computed from flow rate and duration of sampling.

Physical Design Highlights
PGE-DSTP 2 is a compact microprocessor based instrument. It derives its time base from an internal highly stable crystal oscillator. The user interface comprises a key pad and a LCD display module. The key pad comprises three keys named as START, STOP and RESET.
The stopwatch provides logic output for synchronizing an external logic controlled calibration timer.
It works on built-in Li-ion battery of 3.6 volts. The housing for the electronics comprises a sturdy and compact cabinet.
